DJ Reviews Disney's Decendants

(Disclaimer: I am doing this as a REVIEW. As in I own nothing on here from images to clips to any music. I am either using it to show off what I mean, using it for comedy of some kind, or something along those lines. I hope this clears anything up in the future)

Hello everyone, this is Shadow-DJ, or Dejay if you want to be more simple, looking into the first official review for my new review style, In this one, I am looking into the world of Disney Channel's actually decent film:

(owned by Disney)

In this movie we find out from a female narrator that after Belle married her husband, The Beast-seriously Disney, you STILL don't give us his real name?-we find out that they brought back to life all the past Disney Villia-wait, what?
(Clip from Hasbro's My Little Pony Friendship is Magic)
Uh...who is crazy enough to suggest this? I know that you're putting them on an island where they don't have powers anymore-no really, this is their solution-but this is incredibly risky! That's like if Gotham City just put all the bad guys in one place and-
Image result for arkham city sign
Uh...nevermind.
(owned by DC Comics and Rocksteady Studios)
Anyway, we find out that Belle and Beast's son, Ben...I guess just Ben, is being prepped for becoming king when he becomes 18...even though he's still in high school.

(image from Disney Channel)

Yeah...this is where things get confusing; you see, this isn't a midevial world like you'd think...this is a world where we have magic..but it's replaced by stuff like smartphones and what not. Why? What-what is the point of this? Just so kids don't feel out of place? People, it's a FANTASY setting. I would be okay with maybe 1920s-era tech since you got Cruella in this movie, but that's about it! This is going a tad far in my opinion.

Ugh...Millennial stuff...and that's saying a lot coming from a guy born in the mid-90s.

ANYWAY, back on track, our ever optimistic pretty boy wants to do something that gets a rise out of his old man; he wants to invite four kids from the Isles of the Lost-basically the prison they put the villains and their future children in-and let them go through a rehab of sorts to let them join his kingdom.

AND with that, we get into the first song:

(clip is from the film on Youtube)

In this song we're introduced to our main cast: Mal, the grafiti artist daughter of Maleficient.
You see all the purple? You KNOW she's Evil!
(image from Disney)

Whoops, wrong picture!
(image from Fox's X-Men Days of Future Past)
Next is Jay, the street rat son of Jafar...who I am STILL not convinced isn't the actual son of Aladdin and just stolen at birth by him. (seriously, there is a lot more in common with him.)
There we go. This is Booboo Stewart (No...really, that's his name.)
Then we got Evie, the daughter of Queen Grimhilde, who is a heart breaker of the isle. She is played by Sofia Carson.
No I don't know why she has blue hair either.

And finally Carlos de Vil (The only kid with a last name it seems), played by Cameron Boyce, is a kid compared to the others and is kind of...well, a wimpy wiz kid.
Does anyone in this cast have normal hair?!
Anyway, they're called up by their parents; Maleficient, played by Kristen Chenowith; The Evil Queen, played by Hocus Pocus' own Kathy Nijami; Jafar, played by the only actual Islamic actor to play him Maz Jobrani; and Cruella de Vil, played by Wendy Raquel Robinson.
Only picture I could find of them together.
Anyway, Maleficient is a very fun character and is enjoyable to watch in all of her wickedness. The other three aren't as memorable, but still fun. The plan is this; they want them to get into the school and capture the Fairy Godmother's wand to break through the barrier.

Easy-peasy, right? Well, there is a slight hiccup in this plan now that they go to the new school; they kind of have a LOT of distrust when they arrive. They first meet Ben and the Godmother, who's a lot younger than in the original (likely a spell o her part) and Princess Audrey, Aurora and Phillip's daughter.

Image result for Disney's Descendants Fairy Godmother
Wow, I'm as unimpressed as ever.

Image result for Disney's Descendants Doug
Zachary Gibson as Doug
Okay, I'm saying this now; the "heroic" kids are mostly a bunch of jerks. Seriously, they're a bunch of entitled brats all except for like 3; Ben, Lonnie (Mulan and Shang's daughter) and Doug (Dopey's half-Dwarf kid)
Image result for Disney's Descendants Lonnie
Diane Done as Lonnie
The worst of them all is Chad 'Charming', Cinderella's kid. Or as I like to call him "Chad Termaine" since he acts more like his step family a a whole as he is a massive jerk to everyone around him.
Image result for disney's descendants chad
Jedidiah Goodacre as Chad Jerkface-I mean Charming
Anyway, throughout the film they do silly stuff like a 'Goodness course' (Which is really rigged so that anyone who's not a rock can understand 'basic' good and evil), sports and wand stealing which involves becoming friends with Jane, the Fair Godmother's daughter.. As well as Mal brainwashing Ben for about a day or two before they start to really fall for each other. As per usual Disney fashion.

...No seriously, think abuot it: it takes like, what, a day or so for a couple to fall in love in the early Disney movies? It's kinda amazing how fast it is. Fairy tales for you, am-i-right?

As for the other songs so far...not really a lot to talk about. They aren't as memorable as the first song. "Evil Like Me" Feels like a song from Wicked, "Did I Mention" is a silly take-that to love ballads from Disney films, and "Be our Guest" is just a hip-hop version of a classic song. And there is "Set It Off", which is really good in of itself.

In all, this movie is an okay film if you're into these sort of Disney Channel films. So final score: 3.5/5

Next time is a Top 15 list :P I hope you all enjoyed this new review and sorry for the long wait!

My 2 Cents: Justice League Action

Okay, given the train wreck that was, well...

Image result
...THIS mess of a TV show.
I think given that we are getting Young justice's Third season-
Image result for foamy mouth guy gif
Okay, okay. Lets calm down now.
I think it's only fair to talk about the new guy on the block, Justice League Action.
Image result for justice league action
Very Golden Age styling, eh?
Welp, I think the first hing to do is look at the art style:

Image result for justice league action screenshot
...Eh, looks okay to me. Very Golden-agey plus it has Paul Dini involved. How bad can it-

...AH, okay...I guess some characters are gonna get the short end of the stick...
But I have to say this;

This feels a lot more like the classic Teen Titans series than TTG ever did. It's got humor, action and heartwarming moments.

It also has some...surprising faces in store. For American Audiences...here's your only warning:

Image result for gif spoiler

We get appearances from some surprising faces that I doubted anyone from DC fans would expect. Such as...

Dex-Starr, the Red Lantern Cat

The Nuclear Family (Basically 1950s sitcom family with nuclear powers)

And yes, even JOHN CONSTANTINE of all people
This is only a small handful of characters, as there is meant to be...wait for it...

152 heroes and villains in total.
Image result for gif say what
E-nope I ain't joking.
Yeah, that is a lot to take in I bet with that involved...but I got to say this;

WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THIS IS GIVEN MORE SCREEN TIME! Us in the USA, make sure if you can, record this show if you can't get up early enough for the early Saturday Morning showings they have for the episodes so far.

and those in Britain, make sure it gets exposure. I rather not have this be something that gets cut down too soon. I wan something better than...well, THIS:

I think this speaks for itself.
In all, this is DJ signing out for the New Year and hope for the best for DC comics. (looks at last image)...they need it.

Going to use this site a bit more for reviews I got in mind for the future. I may work up to video reviews...but i want to see if this will go out. Hope for the best!

DJ's Top 15 Favorite Disney TV Show Villains

So, why not have a list of the Top 15 Greatest Disney villains. But wait, there are so many different movies and you guys know my favorite ones, so this would be too predictable. BUT how about we do something else: We do Disney TV shows.

Disney has a large library of villains from various cartoons and TV shows from their various in carnations of the TV series. here's some ground rules though:
  • Cannot be characters who first appeared in a movie before the show was made (So no Ursula, Hades or anyone like that)
  • Has to have a big part in the series, so sadly one-off villains do not count.
  • Has to be memorable in their own right and be part of a TV series that DIsney produced themselves.
  • NO Marvel or Star Wars.
And also...some honorable mentions include: Miss Finster from Recess, Janja the Hyena from the Lion Guard, Ludo from Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls, Lord Dominator from Wonder over Yonder, Baren Blitz from Teamo Surpremo.

With that out of the way, enjoy!

15/ Dr. Doofensmirtz (Phineas and Ferb)

Oh boy, I am gonna guess I'm gonna get flack from some people wtih putting him on the bottom. Look, Heinz is a good villain...kinda. You see, he's a lot of fun to watch very enjoyable as a character, but as a villain, he fails WAY to many times. I know that's part of his charm, but that kinda goes against the idea of a villain.

Of course, it's fun tos ee what hairbrain scheme he thinks up. :P

Mind you, his other world duplicate is a BIG Time threat given he wasn't as silly, but as is, Doofensmirtz and his overly convululted backstory. Here's the basis: his parents never arrived at his birth (SOMEHOW), got attacked by various animals, was forced into a dress as a child, was turned into a lawn gnome by his father, was second to his baby brother and a DOG, was raised by Ocelots, smelled like pork for some reason, and wasn't allowed a decent childhood. So yeah, you can expect this guy was a
14/ Li’l Gideon (Gravity Falls)
S1e11 gideon is angry
And now we're going ot the actual villains into the series of TV shows that Disney has made. Gideon Gleeful is a fake psychic who wants to get rid of his comeptition in Gravity Falls, but soon falls in love with Mable Pines (much to her disgust), but also gets the ire of her brother Dipper. This leads to various events such as making a deal with a demonic being and using a shrink ray to try and get to Dipper. He is also very power hungry and wishes to have ultimate power. In all, this half-pint is quite a evil little annoyance, but still a big time threat as he is quite intimidating and demanding, kinda like a much worse male version of Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

And give him a magical amulet, he is a BIG time threat.
13/ Evil Manta (Little Mermaid the Televison Series)

One of the main antagonists of the Little Mermaid TV Show besides Ursula, Evil Manta has shown himself to be an interesting idea. instead of the usual merman, he appears to be a evil-mostuache-totting manta ray creature with human-like aspects to him such as hands and the like. However, the glowing eyes and Jim Cumming's voice easily help give him an emposing appearance.
12/ Emporer Zerg (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command)

And yes, I know about my rule..but here's the thing: in the Toy STory movies, they're all TOYS. As in, not the actual characters, but toys based on them. SO thus...

<This does not count as this>

Anyway, unlike the Toy version of Zurg, who gives himself a sort of Darth Vader-esque feel to him, Zerg in the TV Series has a lot more hammy moments akin to Skeletor or Zedd from POwer Rangers. But do not make any doubts, he IS still very dangerous can be very threatning, especially with the laser (Seriously, it goes from a ball shooter to a F-ing BFG) and his army of robots that allowed him to conquer many different worlds.. If you can find Buzz Lightyear of STar Command online or see the pilot episode, I would highly recommend
11/ Chuckles the Evil Piggy (Dave the Barbarian)

The embodiment of hammy villiany, Chuckles is from the comedic show that was sadly not that long, Dave the Barbarian. Such as with the tone of the series, Chuckles is somewhat compedent of a threat and does win at times. However, his personality and overly goofy personality kinda stops people from realizing it, especially the curly tail thing. However, his amulet (the amulet of Hogswingmore) gives him a lot of dangerous powers. However, he doesn't make the cut for the Top 10 because he isn't the most threatning of them. The next ten however get a lot more frightning.
10/ Nega-Duck (Darkwing Duck)

And now we get to the impitomy of insanity, Nega-Duck. All of the good in Darkwing perverted into evil, he's from essentially Disney-verse Earth 3, where all the good guysa re evil and what not. Nega-Duck is very violent and sadistic, always whipping out dangerous weapons and using them on anything that happens within to be arms reach of him. He rules the evil group he put together with an iron...wing? I don't know how their physiology works. Anyway, he's as skilled as Darkwing if not more so due to his dangerous attidude and clear-as-day insanity. JUST don't get too close.
9/ Mozenrath (Aladdin the animated Series)

Say hello to one of the big bads of the Aladdin TV Series and a very interesting one at that. You see, in Aladdin 3, it was rumored that they were gonna reveal that he and Aladdin were long-lost brothers but that got scrapped. But given how he is in the show, it makes sense. but as for personality, he is VERY similar to Jafar, however his powers have a different cost. He had lost the skin on his hand, leaving it as a skeleton. This seems to imply taht he is slowly dying and is all he can to conquer the Seven Deserts. This makes him a very dangerous villain as he is not just powerful, he's intelligent. However, having only 9 episodes under his belt, he has not a lot of time to shine.
8/ Pete (House of Mouse)

Playing the usual mean neighbor in Goof Troop and only appearing in a small handful of episodes in the new Shorts, it's nice to see Pete back in his usual swing of things. In House of Mouse, hes the landlord of the club and wishes to close it down mainly to spite Mickey and his friends. He is calculating and very genre savvy, but is also still a goofball as he usually is. He is able to think of some good plans, such as giving out posion apples to the staff of the House of Mouse or using Pumbaa as a way to clear out the building. He can be a big time threat and is sometimes getting others to help. If only the other villains didn't alos cause trouble, but what can you do when you put so many villains in one building.
7/ Queen La (The Legends of Tarzan)

For those that don't know, Queen La is one of the novel characters adapted into the Legends of Tarzan series. She is the Queen of Opar and rules over the leopard people with an iron fist. she has a lot of magical power and that makes her very dangerous. Even death cannot stop her, as when she did perish, she was able to put herself back into Jane's body for her final appearance. She wants Tarzan to herself, but given that she is currently trapped in are at body, she may likely not be able to do much.
6/ The Skeleton King (Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperspace Go!)
Char 44286
Originally an alchemist and creator of the heroes in question, the Skeleton King got corrupted by a dark force and became the big threat of Shugazoom City, named after his old friend. The SKeleton King is a massive threat, akin to the Horned King of Black Couldren fame as he has many different monsters and demons at his disposal, he is a massive threat to the city and the entire universe. Plus being voiced by Mark Hammil never hurt either.
5/ Flintheart Glomgold (Ducktales)
FlintheartGlomgold
Scrooge McDucks arch rival for years, Flintheart is a long-time rival character and wishes to be the richest duck in the world. Being a fusion of another rival character, Roderduck, Flintheart here is a Scottish man who got his riches and is very stingy. He would do anything to get ahead of his rival, even sending him away with a genie or making his workers work for him. While he isn't as dangerous, the personal threat level of him makes him very interesting.
4/ Drakken and Shego (Kim Possible)

The two most recurring villains in the show and the most interesting, this duo of villains are very fun to watch with their interactions. Drakken was born Drew Lipsky, an old collage friend of James Possible, Kim's father. After somehow getting his skin turned blue and got a nasty-looking scar under his eye, he hires a former superheroine named Shego, who enjoyed the thrill of evil and the two became a fearsome twosome. The two's interaction is a kinda reversal of the Kim and Ron relationship, as Kim is the leader of her team while Drakken is for his own. However, both are still very good villains despite never really winning. Drakken may be very cheap, but is able to think of some ingenious inventions and if Shego applied herself, she'd be the most dangerous villain out there. Just be lucky that they kinda-reformed at the end of their show's run, or else they cold have wised up.
3/ 627 (Lilo and Stitch: The animated Series)
ScreenCapture 13.06.13 21-43-42
Evil incarnate,  627 (nicknamed Evile by some) is like Stitch up to 11. Made to be evil in all ways and never able to reform, 627 is very dangerous with various powers and abilities that make him a force of pure danger. He has powers such as fire breath, electrokinesis, super speed and strength, laser energy and what not. His main weakness is his extreme sense of humor, which can render him useless if anyone would come to him and make him laugh. But in all, he is all danger and no redeeming qualities whatsoever, making him a dangerous rival for Stitch.
2/ Dark Dragon (American Dragon Jake Long)

The most dangerous monster in the Jake Long Universe, the Dark Dragon is a being who has lived for centuries and has shown himself to be a massive threat. With an army of dangeorus monsters at his dispoasal, he is a very dangerous threat. He has the usual dragon powers but up to 10 given his size and experience. In fact, he wasn't really killed in his last appearance, only sealed away. so he could be released sooner than later, but who knows, he could still be there. But as for what makes him dangerous, he had to be taken on by multiple dragons at once to even get him and his temple sealed away and nearly took Rose with him. So this adds to some danger.

But if the Dark Dragon isn't number one, I guess you know who it is:
1/ David Xanatos (Gargoyles)Image result for David Xanatos
While he did reform in the series, Xanatos was actually one of the most succesful villains out of all of the villains on this list. He is cunning, intelligent and very dangerous, using any resource he can to further his own goals. and here's the kicker, compared to all of the other villains; he has never truely lost in his old evil days. He took any so-called loss as a victory in it's own right, using them to his advantage despite having lost. this puts him above and beyond the others, as they would usually change goals inbetween episodes. Xanatos had a clear goal and he stayed on it until he and Fox got married and his son was saved by his old enemies. This changed him and reformed him into the character we got to know in the later part of the series. In all, his only real way to lose against his enemies was to join their side.

DJ's Top 15 Disney Rescues

DJ's Top 15 Disney Rescues

Hey there, DJ here. Sorry for the long wait on this. REal life stuff, you know the drill. But I'm thinking of puting some of my list ideas I had on here. So you know, I do not own any o the images used here, they belong to Disney. Now...her's some honorable mentions right away:

  • Cinderella's animals save her from the attic
  • Kenai's oldest brother saves him from the middle brother (Brother Bear)
  • Ray vs. the Shadows (Princess and the Frog)
  • Anna saves Elsa (Frozen)
  • Nick helps Judy against Bogo (Zootopia)
  • Pocahontas saving John Smith (Pocahontas)
  • Hercules gets Meg out of Styx (Hercules)
  • Milo and co. Save Atlantis (Atlantis the Lost Empire)
And now...for the list:

15. Thomas and the Alley Cats save Duchess (Aristocats)

Image result for Aristocats Edgar

Ah, the Aristocats...a raher underrated film in my opinion :P It's a rather nice story with an endering cast-

...QUESTIONABLE things nonewithstanding (it's the 1970s, times have changed)

ANYWAY...after Roguefort gets the alleycats to help them out, they stop Edgar the Butler from sending Duchess and her kids to Timbuktu (literally). Well...Thomas is there to save the day with the aid of the cats.

YEs this is one of the hero victories on this list, but it's still a good moment to start this list off with. It shows that even alleycats can be heroes.
14. Baloo's distraction (Jungle Book)

Image result for Louie and Baloo Dancing

...OH COME ON, IT'S TOO EASY TO NOT PUT ON HERE! XP When Moglii is kidnapped by Monkeys while under Baloo's care, he and Bagheera make a plan-okay, Baloo makes a plan and it results in this:

It appeared in the newest live action movie, but it wasn't as hilarious as this XD It's fun, upbeat and enjoyable. But hey, who doesn't want to see a Sloth Bear scat against an orangutan while wearing a grass skirt? XP
13. Robinsons vs. The T-Rex (Meet the Robinsons)

...eyeah, I don't know how well this thought was thought through, but it was awesome all the way! XD AFter a rousing speech from Franny Robinson, the Robinsons meet up wtih a honking T-rex infront of their house-Time Travel, am I right?-who goes after Lewis. So what do the Robinsons do? They FIGHT AN F-ING T-REX, that's what!

T-Rexes running on trains, Adam WEst driving a Space Craft that shoot out pizza dough, Squid and Meatball Cannons AND a funny gif? What more can you want in this crazy scene? This shows that thsi movie is just crazy fun, nothing more XP It's kinda low on the list since...yeah, it's kinda ridiculous, but it's a FUN kinda ridiculous.
12. Pongo and Perdita saves the puppies (101 Dalmations)

What's the DUMBEST thing one can do to a litter of puppies? Take them from their parents when they are too young, that's what. When these two go off to find their lost puppies, they go to the head out to find them and save them from the dreaded Cruella de Vil. This leads to them coming in just in time to save Tibbs and the 99 other puppies from Horace and Jasper

Do NOT mess with dogs, people...just...don't mess with dogs.
11. Basil figures out the Trap (Great Mouse Detective)
Image result for Smile Everyone Great Mouse Detective(Smile everyone! :D)

Basil of Baker Street is Sherlock Holmes in mouse form. What's more to love? BUT when Ratigan tricks him and he's at an all time low...there seems to be no hope. But after an accidental words of inspiration from Dawson, Basil gets an idea that saves them and will help them save the queen later:

The timing is perfect at this as the chain of events make it even more awesome than you'd think something like this would go. SHows you who's the real genius mouse in England is, huh? And as Basil says, Smile everyone! :)
10. The Waterfall Scene (A Goofy Movie)

Never thought that there would be on here, huh? I honestly find this moment to be a rather underrated gem in the Disney Canon :P But in all, this scene is the est in the entire thing. Here's a clip (I found it wiht some fitting music. great job to the man behind the video!)

And yes, Goofy almost DIED in this movie! That's gonna be a bit shocking for this kinda movie, huh? Welp, thank goodness for the Perfect cast. This is one vacation to remember. If you want to see the original scene, go watch the movie ;; It'll help a lot.
9.Image result for Bolt movie Fire Bolt Saves Penny from the burning building (Bolt)

ignoring Miley Cyrus'...questionable image right now, this movie is still a rather well-made film and it has a rather grueling moment after the fake!Bolt nearly causd the building to burn down.

It's tense, it's heart wrenching, and it has a good pay off. Even there won't be a Bolt 2, I'm happy that this movie at least had a good ending.
8. Fagin saves the animals and Jenny (Oliver and Company)

When the Dogs and oliver go after Jenny, they are met with some bumps. But before Sykes can sick Roscoe and Desotto against them, who would've thought it'd be the resident lovable rogue himself, Fagin, that saves them!

Lets remember that that Fagin, for the entire movie was AFRAID of Sykes. That shows how brave he is aganist someone like Sykes. Plus the chase afterward was very tense and throughout the whole thing, Fagin was trying to hep them out. Dodger and Oliver do their own fair share of heroics in it, but it's Fagin who did the saving thsi time.
7. Tarzan saves Jane from the Babboons (Tarzan)
Image result for TArzan Baboon
Yeah, this is a funny scene, but it's a really good rescue too. After Jane causes a baby baboon to cry, she ends up getting an angry horde of them after her Belle-inspired-dress tail, but then she gets saved by her knight-in-loincloth himself, Tarzan!

It's fast, energetic, the animation is beautiful to look at. PLUS that moment with the tree was funny to watch honestly XP But in all, this is one way for romantic leads to meet if I ever saw one.
6. Stitch saves Lilo from Gantu/Gas in lava (Lilo and Stitch)

Lilo and Stitch, who would have seen their success coming, huh? Welp, there was a big moment in this film near the end where Gantu has gotten Lilo captive after catching STitch and her together. So after a guilt trip to Jumba and Pleakley, Stitch goes out to save Lilo from Gantu in the most badass way possible! It starts with a rather simple gas tanker...

WHICH he uses to rocket himself into Gantu's ship, piledrive the several-foot tall human whale and save Lilo in one fail swoop. Cute and Fluffy just got a lot tougher!
5. Mulan and co SAve he Emporer (Mulan)

 (BE A MAN!...OR WO-MAN!)

Couldn't resist there, moving on. Anyway, after devisinga plan to save the emperor from Shan Yu, the small band of heroes go toe to toe with the huns and escape with the emproer in tow...

Gotta love this scene XP Shows that a little team work can lead to the defeat of one of the most ruthless villains in the Disney Rogues gallery. With the force of a great typhoon, they take down the Huns and save the day! They even roast that freaky hawk. Gotta love that XP
4. Ariel saves Eric (Little Mermaid)

After seeing Eric for the first time, there is a hurricane that comes and destorys his ship and nearly leaves him to drown. But thanks to Ariel, he's alive to see another sail.
Honorable mention also goes to Eric saving Max as well, but this does start a trend of the female leads saving the male leads just as often. It wasn't started later than this, people XP Don't underestimate this mermaid.

3. Beast saves Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
Image result for Beast Saves Belle from wolves

After the Beast freaks out at her, Belle finds her out in the middle of winter in a snow storm...in a forest full of hungry wolves. While she evades them for awhile on Phillipe the horse, the two find themselves cornered...if not for a certain cape-wearing Chimera.

And in return for saving her life, Belle takes him home to patch him up. Thiss how their romance really begins, people; it's not Stockholm syndrome...its Belle seeing that, despite his attitude and his...rather poor choices, Belle sees that there is at least some good in the Beast and wishes to repay that kindness in full.
2. Mufasa saves Simba (Lion King)
Image result for Mufasa saving Simba
(puts up ashield) EASY NOW PEOPLE! Before anyone gets out the pitchforks and knives, let me say this okay; Is Lion King great? Yes. Is this a powerful scene? Yes. Now...I do really enjoy this scene, but I do think that it being this high has to count for something, right?

Okay...to be real now, this is the scene that everyone remembers from this movie: Scar tricks Simba, and then the Hyenas send down a stampede down at him so Mufasa can die under it. But despite that...the song, the animation, the tense atmosphere...it adds so much to this scene. And also why it gets knocked down a peg? The rescuer kinda dies ;;

Now...I bet you're wondering what beat this. WELL...it's this:
1. SANTUARY! (Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Image result for Hunchback Of Notre DAme Disney Sanctuary
Allow me to set the scene for you: A morbid man has an innocent woman up on a stake, the Archdecan is unable to stop it, the entire city is shouting against it, and the hero is locked in chains. The man asks the woman to come with him or be burned...and she choses the fire. This is the scene from Disney's Hunchback of NOtre Dame, showcasing one of the most POWERFUL Scenes in animation they have done in a long time.

IT's all amaszing! Tony Jay's very prescense helps Frollo in this scene of course, but the animation is very grand, showing the gravity of this situation. You can feel the church shake as the bells ring in your ears and then the Latin choir comes in, making it even more epic as Quasimodo shatters the chains that bind him, grab a rope and swings down to save his friend...and says the most famous line in Victor Hugo's books: SANCTUARY! SANCTUARY! SANCTUARY!
